VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD AND RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
The Master Plan Draft was presented for the Board of Trustees and residents for the first time at the October 10, 2016 Board Meeting. If you were unable to attend we invite you to learn more about the Master Plan, gain insight into the decisions that stand before us and we want to hear what you as the taxpayers and supporters of the park have to say. RJRD Names the Park
The Richfield Joint Recreation District (RJRD) is proud to announce that the park located at 4374 Broadview Rd Richfield, OH has been officially named Richfield Heritage Preserve. The RJRD Board of Trustees voted to name the park at its meeting of August 22, 2016. We are excited to take this step as one of many as we plan the future of Richfield Heritage Preserve. A significant next step will be to begin discussing the master plan for the park that we have been working on with our consultant, the Environmental Design Group. This is a very exciting time for Richfield and the RJRD is honored to have been charged with this opportunity. View the announcement in the West Side Leader here. The Richfield Joint Recreation District's mission is to safeguard, support and maintain the natural properties of Richfield, Ohio, while encouraging recreational and educational opportunities in our community. The Richfield Joint Recreation District was formed though the historic collaboration of the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township, which identified the need for preserving, maintaining and operating the park-like properties within the municipality to benefit the residents of Richfield and surrounding communities. Together, the RJRD Board of Trustees hope to preserve natural properties in Richfield by:
To ensure public safety, by order of the RJRD Board of Trustees, the upper lake maintenance access way [upper, metal bridge] and areas around Kirby Mill are in the process of being closed for public access. Work has begun Thursday, September 29, 2016 with anticipated completion by October 3, 2016 or sooner.
