To obtain structural assessments of the dams on the RJRD property, the lower lake needed to be lowered 12-18-inches. A faulty valve has caused this valve to remain open. GPD and their team are currently working on the problem. If it becomes apparent that fish will be in jeopardy, RJRD will enact emergency fish relocation procedures to move the fish to the upper lake.
UPDATE:The lower lake is now 46-inches and has risen 10-inches since Wednesday. It appears to be about < 24-inches from the spillway (Estimated for safety reasons)
The Upper Lake measures < 4-inches. The water seems to have covered 50% of the sediment piles and is < 36-48-inches from the stream spillway.
Periodic updates will be released when the situation changes. Any questions may be directed to the Administration Office, 330.659.9201 option 9.
